Emmanuel College is part of the Hinterland District for the purpose of representative team selections. To gain representative honours, students have to first make the District team and then go on to South Coast Regional selection trials. South Coast teams compete at the various state championships.
The Hinterland District pathway applies for all students from 10-19 years old. There are 24 private schools in the Hinterland District. (Including the eight APS schools)
South Coast Regional selection opportunities exist in the following sports for 13-19 year olds while 10-12 year olds may have opportunities in sports marked with an asterisk.
In general, there are three age brackets in which students can gain selection in District selection in team sports. (12, 15 and U19). In Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics students can gain selection in each age division from 10 to U19.
